QUARTERBACKS
High Tier ($7,000-plus)
The Week 3 Fantasy Rankings highlighted Kyler Murray as the No. 1 quarterback because he’s breaking all of fantasy football's rules. He’s finished as the QB1 in back-to-back weeks and has picked up where he left off last season before his injury — casually scoring more fantasy points than any other quarterback in NFL history. No biggie.
The Cardinals QB is averaging a whopping 35 fantasy points per game, nearly five points better than the QB2, Tom Brady. When Murray is healthy, he’s virtually unstoppable.
At $8,300 Murray is priced as the most expensive quarterback, but he is worth paying up because his next opponent — the Jacksonville Jaguars — enters with PFF’s 28th-ranked coverage unit.
Patrick Mahomes II, Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson also find themselves in great spots for Week 3, so a move down from Murray can be made if necessary for lineup construction purposes. However, in that event, opt for Jackson and Wilson over Mahomes because of their rushing upside.
