Every fantasy football manager who lost their first matchup is probably muttering, “We’re on to Week 2.” But in reality, that’s the exact mindset everybody should have heading into Week 2 of the fantasy football season.
The flurry of fantasy points scored by Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes, Amari Cooper and Kyler Murray doesn’t carry over into this week, and like any given Sunday, almost any fantasy team can emerge victoriously.
To ensure you continue to roll over success, consider my Week 2 waiver wire piece and the following Week 2 fantasy football rankings, which will have additional analysis broken down by position.
Remember, just because a player burned or boomed for you last week, it doesn’t mean those results will repeat this week. Remain fluid and evaluate your team solely based on the information and important takeaways from Week 1 for Week 2 matchups, as that is the optimal approach.

RUSSELL WILSON, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
People, set your ovens to 450 degrees because Russell Wilson is cooking up fantasy points against the Tennessee Titans this weekend. Not only did the Titans allow over 33 fantasy points to Kyler Murray in Week 1, but the defense also allowed the most catches of 20-plus air yards.
Wilson is PFF’s highest-graded quarterback on throws of 20-plus air yards (99.9) since 2018. The Titans will have no answer for Seattle’s deep aerial assault because they cannot pressure the quarterback. Against the Arizona Cardinals, they generated pressure on just six of 37 dropbacks (16.2%) — the second-lowest mark in Week 1.
With Wilson operating cleanly from the pocket, he will dice the Titans secondary to shreds. When the Seahawks quarterback threw from pristine conditions versus the Indianapolis Colts, he finished Week 1 as PFF’s second-highest graded QB (91.3). Wilson averaged 14.1 yards per attempt and posted a perfect quarterback rating.
