• The Pittsburgh Steelers lose another linebacker for the rest of the season: Elandon Roberts, who had been the league’s most efficient tackling linebacker coming into Week 10, should see a much larger role, but what else will the team do at the position?
• Pete Werner continues his streak of extreme inefficiency: The New Orleans Saints linebacker has been an unproductive IDP over the last month, and it’s sinking his fantasy value.
• More changes among the Houston Texans linebacker corps: Denzel Perryman leads the way this week but was just suspended for three games, which is going to create another new rotation next week.

Week 10 Takeaways
Be sure to check out last week’s waiver wire targets here as well.
Waiver wire
- ED BJ Ojulari, Arizona Cardinals: The rookie second-round pick played his highest snap share of the season (52%) this week and delivered a two-sack performance. The Cardinals defensive line needs someone to emerge, and Ojulari could have earned himself more snaps going forward for those looking for a matchup-based play.
- ED Cam Sample/Myles Murphy, Cincinnati Bengals: Sam Hubbard missed this game due to an ankle injury and Trey Hendrickson suffered a knee injury on the final play of the game that should cause both of them to miss the team’s Week 11 game against the Ravens, which is being played on a short week. Sample, and potentially Murphy in deeper leagues, would be volume plays only in the absence of the starters.
- ED D.J. Wonnum, Minnesota Vikings: Wonnum seemingly makes the waiver wire every year at some point, and it’s time to look his way once again. Wonnum is not typically one of the better pass-rushers in the league, but he is playing a very high volume of snaps that could allow him to be productive on any given week for those in need of a depth option.
- DT Sheldon Rankins, Houston Texans: Rankins missed the past two games but returned in a big way by delivering three sacks in this game. While IDP managers shouldn’t expect him to exceed this performance on any given week the rest of the year, he can at least be a viable option in DT-required leagues thanks to his playing time and pass-rush ability.
- LB Ivan Pace Jr., Minnesota Vikings: Pace Jr. played 100% of Minnesota's defensive snaps when Hicks was out of the lineup. For all the reasons that Hicks was a high-end IDP asset heading into this week (playing time, zone-heavy defense), Pace should step in and provide similar production. The team also signed Anthony Barr on Monday, and he could work into playing time, but Pace has been with the team and should still out-snap Barr, at least early on.
- LB Elandon Roberts/Mark Robinson, Pittsburgh Steelers: With both Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander out for the year, Roberts, who made the waiver list last week, becomes a top waiver target as the Steelers are running out of options on the year. Roberts owned the highest tackle efficiency among linebackers (19.0%) coming into this week but on a limited snap share. Expect that efficiency to regress closer to the mean on a larger snap total going forward. Mark Robinson would be an option for deep leagues only as he fills the secondary linebacker role. It’s also possible that Keanu Neal will get more work at linebacker once Minkah Fitzpatrick returns to the lineup and Neal doesn’t have to fill in at safety.
- S Taylor Rapp, Buffalo Bills: Rapp played an every-down role with Micah Hyde out for this game. Rapp would be a potential deep league add should Hyde miss more time.

Without the strong supporting cast around him, sacks will be harder to come by for Sweat which is likely pushing him down the rankings going forward.

- Injury: Trey Hendrickson suffered a knee injury on the final play of this game and is now likely to miss the team’s Week 11 game on a short week.
- Waiver wire: Sam Hubbard missed this game with an ankle injury and Trey Hendrickson suffered a knee injury on the final play of the game that should cause both of them to miss the team’s Week 11 game against the Ravens which is being played on a short week. Cameron Sample and potentially Myles Murphy in deeper leagues would be volume plays only in the absence of the starters.

- Point of interest: As much as this was a juicy matchup for Micah Parsons to take advantage of, his disappearance on the box score should not be overreacted to. He should continue to be locked into IDP lineups going forward considering the pass rushing potential to deliver a blow-up performance.

- Trending down: Unfortunately, the potential IDP cheat code of having Markquese Bell playing a near every-down role at linebacker with a defensive back designation on most platforms may have come to an end. Bell played just two snaps in the first quarter while Damone Clark and Rashaan Evans played eight and seven, respectively. Bell’s reign as a must-add IDP asset may have been short-lived with no real Cowboys linebacker worthy of trusting in lineups at the moment. Bell can be held for one more week to make sure this wasn’t a result of the game being a blowout but the usage early in the game could be more telling here.

Since getting up to 90% of snaps in Week 7, Campbell’s snap share has steadily declined in each of the following weeks.

- Waiver wire: Denzel Perryman seemingly took back the top linebacker role this week as Blake Cashman’s snaps declined to the lowest percentage since Week 4. Perryman was just suspended on Tuesday for three games which means the Texans will once again shuffle the linebacker pieces. It could be difficult to trust the Texans linebacker in Week 11 but Blake Cashman at least has a chance to regain his full-time role with Perryman out as Cashman has been the only player to play well among Houston’s current available linebackers.

DeAndre Houston-Carson | 100.0% | 0.0% | 0.0% | 7.8% | 84.4% | 7.8% |
Jalen Pitre | 100.0% | 1.6% | 4.7% | 9.4% | 71.9% | 10.9% |
- Point of interest: Jalen Pitre left the box score completely empty this week letting down many IDP managers (again) that spent up to draft him this offseason. Pitre played almost exclusively deep this week, which is a risk in a completely different defense from last season. Pitre has been a good example of why banking on defensive back production to replicate one year to the next is more than likely to leave fantasy managers disappointed and another reason to fade the position in IDP drafts.

Odeyingbo also saw a decent increase in snaps, which was partly due to Kwity Paye leaving the game for a bit with an injury, but Odeyingbo has earned the highest pass-rush grade among the Colts edge defenders (66.8) this season.

- Injury: Jordan Hicks suffered a shin injury in the third quarter and did not return. His status heading into Week 11 on Sunday Night Football should be monitored.
- Waiver wire: Ivan Pace Jr. played 100% of the defensive snaps when Hicks was out of the lineup. For all the reasons that Hicks was a high-end IDP asset heading into this week (playing time, zone-heavy defense), Pace should step in and provide similar production. The team also signed Anthony Barr on Monday who could work into playing time but Pace has been with the team and should still out-snap Barr, at least early on.

The Patriots will be on a bye week coming up so it may not be worth adding Jahlani Tavai off the waiver wire just yet considering the extra time to heal for Bentley.

- Injury: Kwon Alexander tore his Achilles tendon just nine snaps into this game. His season is now over.
- Waiver wire: With both Cole Holcomb and Alexander out for the year, Elandon Roberts becomes a top waiver target as the Steelers are running out of options on the year. It’s also possible that Keanu Neal gets more work at linebacker once Minkah Fitzpatrick returns to the lineup and Neal doesn’t have to fill in at safety.
