Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season is officially in the rearview mirror, and our fantasy football seasons are dwindling down to the most important leg: the inevitable final few weeks to make a playoff push, prior to the final knockout stages. Injuries continue to ravage lineups, and usage rates are ever-changing.
After analyzing every team’s situation, I’ve compiled a list of the most intriguing waiver wire additions for fantasy football ahead of Week 13.
QB Mike Glennon, Jacksonville Jaguars — 1% rostered
Glennon isn’t exactly the first person who comes to mind when thinking of a franchise quarterback, but he balled out in Week 12, netting 18 fantasy points in the process. The journeyman quarterback totaled 235 passing yards and two touchdowns, securing a QB10 placement prior to the kickoff of Monday and Wednesday Night Football.
While the Jaguars are primed to pick in the top two or three picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, Glennon kept them competitive against the Cleveland Browns‘ far superior roster and likely bought himself more playing time through the rest of the season.
RB Brian Hill, Atlanta Falcons — 47% rostered
With starter Todd Gurley II sidelined, Hill took the reins in the Falcons’ backfield, registering a 47% snap share (34 snaps) to lead the running back room. Hill also led his group in rushing attempts (13). While the Falcons are likely to get Gurley back soon, Hill and teammate Ito Smith are intriguing options on the waiver wire due to the importance of the running back position.
