Tuesday Night Football has come to a conclusion for the first time in over 50 years, and that has propelled us into the waiver wire ahead of Week 6 in our fantasy football leagues. Let's take a look at some of the players who need to be started with confidence or held out of fantasy lineups during the Week 6 slate.

QUARTERBACKS

START: Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Cousins hasn’t been a stable or consistent option at any point in this season as he currently ranks 21st among quarterbacks in scoring, but he does have the matchup of the week opposite the Atlanta Falcons’ secondary. This unit has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

The duo of Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson has developed into arguably the best 1-2 punch at receiver in the league, and the injury to Dalvin Cook may force the Vikings to air it out more than they’d like. Expect a strong performance from Cousins and his offensive compatriots.

START: Cam Newton, New England Patriots

Newton has been cleared to play after a Covid-19 diagnoses. Assuming he's back to full strength, he's an absolute must-start in all formats.
