Week 3 of the NFL season has come to an end, which means it’s time to scour the waiver wire to identify potential impact players available in fantasy football leagues ahead of Week 4. We'll consider injuries, usage rates and rookie development to identify players who may earn extended roles moving forward.
The following are some of the more intriguing potential waiver wire additions entering Week 4. (Roster rates are from Yahoo public leagues.)
Chicago Bears QB Nick Foles – 3% Rostered
Could it be? Have the Bears made the full-fledged switch from Mitchell Trubisky to Nick Foles? It’s hard to argue against it as Foles came into the game halfway through the contest and totaled an 18.2-point performance, throwing for three touchdowns in the process. While neither player can genuinely be trusted, Foles has demonstrated the ability to produce at a much higher level than Trubisky, in addition to an actual Super Bowl ring and playoff wins.
Foles could likely be the best quarterback option on the waiver wire at this point in the season, and his first performance with his new team was intriguing and could be worth buying into for the QB needy.
