Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season is fast approaching, and that means it’s time for us to scour the waiver wire in our fantasy football leagues to identify the best streaming choices for the week. As always, the positions to target this week — quarterback, tight end and defense/special teams — have some intriguing options.
The following are the players most likely to produce a strong week based on their usage and matchups at their respective positions in Week 7.
Quarterback
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers – 59% rostered
The Chargers have officially moved forward with the rookie, and deservedly so — he ranks eighth in fantasy points per game through the first four starts of his career. Herbert's 0.58 points per dropback — a figure more suited when evaluating efficiency — ranks ninth.
While Herbert has basically proven that matchups aren’t exactly a worry, he has a great one this week going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who allow the fifth-most passing yards and eighth-most passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. Herbert is the start of the week at the quarterback streaming spot.
