Quarterbacks

Chalk: Matt Ryan ($8,300). Ryan’s projected ownership of 12% would make him the top quarterback option of the week, and despite his high price point, it’s hard to argue against given that he’s at home (Where’s he’s averaging 3x more points than on the road) against the league’s worst pass defense (the Buccaneers). This is a ceiling spot for Ryan.

Chalk: Jameis Winston ($7,400). Winston will duel Ryan in the dome, and while we expect his ownership to be lower (8%), he is also a high-ceiling play as the Buccaneers pass offense showed early this season it’s capable of putting up big numbers. They’ll have to pass a lot to keep up with the Falcons.

Contrarian: Derek Carr ($6,900). Carr and the Raiders travel to London to take on the Seahawks, who have overall good pass defense numbers, but they have also played against Case Keenum, Mitchell Trubisky, Dak Prescott, and Josh Rosen. They gave up 321 yards to the Rams last week, and Carr currently ranks top-five in passing yards. A big yardage day is in the cards.
