What are the best FanDuel tournaments and GPPs strategies and players for optimal lineups for Week 4 of the 2018 NFL season? This piece will run through each by offering up chalk plays, contrarian plays, and stack options — all from a tournament perspective.

Quarterbacks

Chalk: Philip Rivers ($7,800). The 49ers have given up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, including 300-plus yards and three touchdowns in back-to-back games. Rivers is third in the NFL with eight passing touchdowns.

Chalk: Matt Ryan ($8,100). We expect Ryan to be the third-highest-owned QB of the week (8%). Ryan is tied for fourth in fantasy points this year with nine total touchdowns in three games — all of which have come in the last two weeks. The Falcons/Bengals tilt has the highest over/under on the slate (52).

Contrarian: Josh Allen ($6,400). Allen should be a 1% play against the Packers in a game in which the Bills will be playing catch-up most of the time (they are 10-point road underdogs). Allen ranks second among QBs with 22 rushing attempts (behind Cam Newton). He ranks first in expected rushing fantasy points per game.
