As we head into Week 7 of the NFL season, it’s time for a look at the top cash game plays in FanDuel DFS games for fantasy football purposes.
Winning FanDuel cash game lineups continue to have one common theme. If you can have an accurate projection on a player’s potential targets and volume within an offense, you can find the best cash game plays of the week. That’s our overall goal here in this weekly article — fine-tuning the best process in order to play the highest scoring cash game lineups possible. Let’s see what Week 7 has in store for us.
Quarterbacks
Week 7 has several teams on bye and many of our top DFS targets off the main slate. It’s shaping up like another good week to pay down at the quarterback position and spend up on studs with guaranteed volume.
We’ve been targeting the Buccaneers’ pass defense for several weeks due to its historically poor play, and that’s continuing this week. Tampa Bay's secondary is allowing the highest completion percentage, the most passing yards per game, and the highest touchdown percentage to opposing quarterbacks. That trifecta of fantasy goodness makes Baker Mayfield someone worth considering in cash game builds. The Browns lead the league in dropped passes, but a date with the Buccaneers looks like a get-right spot for Baker and company.
I'm a big proponent of smashing in three top-shelf running backs in cash, and C.J. Beathard lets you do that without really sacrificing the quarterback position. He's thrown for multiple scores in each of his three starts while averaging over 20 fantasy points on FanDuel. He's also averaged about 20 rushing yards per game giving you a half-touchdown worth of scoring right off the bat. Over the past three weeks we saw Case Keenum throw for 300-plus yards, Russell Wilson throw for three touchdowns, and Kirk Cousins accomplish both 300-plus yards and three touchdowns against this Rams defense. The 49ers are projected to be trailing as 10-point home dogs and should feature plenty of garbage time for Beathard to rack up cheap fantasy points.
