Another week of NFL action is in the books. Derrick Henry is looking to deliver fantasy championship titles this holiday season and Tyreek Hill reminded us all why his Twitter handle is @cheetah.
Week 12 was relatively kind to fantasy managers regarding injuries, but we still have a few to address. Fantasy managers may need to add potential replacements off the waiver wire for the likes of D.J. Moore, Josh Jacobs, Daniel Jones, Teddy Bridgewater and Phillip Lindsay.
Week 13 also marks the final week of byes, with the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking the week off ahead of the fantasy football playoffs, which start in Week 14 across the majority of formats. That means teams will need fill-ins for Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Robby Anderson, Ronald Jones and Mike Davis in a crucial week.
Now, on to the top waiver-wire targets for Week 13. This list of players includes anyone rostered in approximately 50% of Yahoo leagues or less, with deep league options at every position as well. I’ll also share my thoughts on FAB (Free Agent Budget) bids and how much to spend on each player accordingly.
QUARTERBACKS
Philip Rivers, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS – 33% ROSTERED – 5% OF FAB
Through the first 11 weeks of the season, Philip Rivers ranks seventh in the league passing yards (2,978) and has scored at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games. The veteran quarterback continues to fly under the radar but should be added to any team that is weak at quarterback and looking to make some noise in the fantasy playoffs.
His next three matchups are against the Houston Texans (twice) and Las Vegas Raiders. All three games will be played indoors and both teams rank in the bottom-12 in terms of most passing yards allowed to quarterbacks this season. Those conditions will provide Rivers the perfect game settings to continue his hot streak of fantasy production.
