Another weekend of NFL action is upon us, so it’s time to dive into the projections to find all the best values on DraftKings to ensure a profitable Week 4.
Week 3 in DFS was one to forget for me — Kyler Murray was a disappointment and the Daniel Jones tournament play failed to produce. Miles Sanders and Devin Singletary didn’t move the needle at running back, either.
But after a long week of researching, I'm confident in a bounce-back effort this week. Here are my favorite picks for the 12-game main slate for all positions — D/STs included — for both cash and GPP contests.
QUARTERBACKS
Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans ($6,600)
The Minnesota Vikings’ defense has been less than stellar this season, which is exactly what Deshaun Watson needs after averaging only 18.5 fantasy points per game over the first three weeks.
The Vikings rank third-to-last in pressure percentage (18.9%). Watson has faced teams that bring pressure at a much higher rate (36%).
That lack of pressure on the quarterback has resulted in the Vikings allowing the third-most passing yards (300 per game) and the third-highest yards per attempt (8.5) through the first three weeks of the season.
Specifically, the Vikings have been most vulnerable on the outside where they've allowed 12.3 yards per attempt. This bodes well for both Will Fuller ($5,900), assuming he's healthy, and Brandin Cooks ($4,500), whose price makes him extremely easy to pair alongside Watson. If Watson had hit Cooks on this walk-in touchdown in Week 3, there’s no way Cooks would be priced below Cobb.
Cooks also has a favorable matchup on the outside per PFF’s WR/CB matchup chart against Holton Hill. Hill has allowed the sixth-highest yards per route covered this season among cornerbacks.
Aside from the Vikings’ defensive struggles, they are also dealing with several injuries in their secondary. Three of their top cornerbacks, Cameron Dantzler, Mike Hughes and Kris Boyd, are all on the injury report.
