After a somewhat boring set of waivers options last week, there are a couple of very intriguing pickups ahead of Week 5 of the 2021 NFL season. Around this point of the season is when you should consider offering up sizable chunks of FAB to grab valuable players. Don’t forget — every good player you let slip through the cracks on waivers will end up improving another team in your league.
When waivers roll around later this week, it’s important to stay ahead of the game and keep track of players from the big slate of games Sunday afternoon. Here are two options to keep high on your priority list when waivers are processed this Wednesday.

RB DAMIEN WILLIAMS, CHICAGO BEARS
ESPN Rostership: 10.4%
Yahoo Rostership: 6%
Suggested FAB: 10-15%
Well, sorry for David Montgomery managers, but the starting Chicago Bears running back went down in a heap while grabbing his left knee. It did not look good on the broadcast. The most recent news was promising, though — it sounds like it was possibly just a hyperextension of his left knee. There is currently no timetable for his return.
Second on the Bears’ depth chart is former Kansas City Chief Damien Williams. Before opting out of the 2020 season, Williams was splitting time with LeSean McCoy for the Chiefs before ultimately taking over as their lead rusher in the playoffs. His usage was sporadic, but he finished the year with four top-12 finishes at the running back position and one weekly finish of 13 — just shy of an RB1 outing.
