There is an old saying in statistics: “One data point is an instance, two points is a trend and three data points tells us a story.” We can use the many storylines in the NFL through Week 3 to process performances from our favorite fantasy football players, and while waivers are often reactionary in nature, we can use historical data to support our choices heading into Week 4.

Easily the biggest name that fantasy managers will be clamoring over this week is Panthers backup running back Chuba Hubbard. The 2021 fourth-rounder stepped in to carry the load in the wake of star back Christian McCaffrey exiting the team's Week 3 contest due to a hamstring injury. And the rookie performed reasonably well.

Hubbard ended the day with 52 rushing yards on 11 attempts, and he added three receptions on five targets for another 27 yards through the air. Former Broncos running back Royce Freeman also got some looks, finishing the game with five rushing attempts and a target for 25 total yards from scrimmage.
