Roster-building strategies
Building a concise player pool
Week 14 is another full 13-game slate with tons of options for us to choose from. There is an incredible amount of value at every position and it is shaping up to be a mass-multi-entry week. Building a concise player pool is paramount to finding success without unnecessarily throwing money away at poor plays.
Too often I see players spread themselves too thin trying to get access to every game. While I understand the play of trying to cover your bases, tightening your core to a few games that are heavily targeted gives you a better shot with more dart throws concentrated in a select area.
Determine which players are priority plays for you, which players are quality filler plays, and which ones are straight fades. Filtering through players on a 13-game slate takes some time, but it’s part of the right process in order to help yourself narrow in on which players you think are capable of putting up a big week.
Combine the few games you want to target (help on that below) with the priority plays and you’re off to a strong start. Mixing in some cheap dart throws with upside (also help on that below) should help round out your core of players in your player pool.
