Our Week 5 DraftKings DFS cash guide helps you build an optimal lineup by giving you the best player picks and sleepers based on matchup and expected workload.

Below are some of the players I’m considering for my cash lineups in Week 5. Some things may change between now and Sunday (injury news later in the week is one of the most important things to pay attention to for DFS), but this should give you a good starting point when building cash lineups for Week 5.

The “Top Value” charts above show the top values based on projections and salary. However, not all of the players included in the charts should be considered cash game options. The charts are meant to show you — at a glance — which players have the most favorable salary-to-projection ratios, but when selecting players for your cash lineup, other factors need to be considered.

Quarterbacks

DraftKings – Top QB Values – Week 5

Player Team Matchup $ Projection Value
Tom Brady NE IND $6,300 25.2 4.00
Cam Newton CAR NYG $6,400 25.4 3.97
Matthew Stafford DET GB $5,700 21.9 3.84
Russell Wilson SEA LAR $5,100 19.4 3.80
Andy Dalton CIN MIA $5,900 21.4 3.63
Aaron Rodgers GB @DET $6,300 22.3 3.54
Ben Roethlisberger PIT ATL $6,900 24.4 3.54
Drew Brees NO WAS $6,400 22.5 3.52
Ryan Tannehill MIA @CIN $5,200 18.2 3.50
Josh Allen BUF TEN $4,800 16.8 3.50

Pricey: Ben Roethlisberger ($6,900) is the most expensive quarterback on the main slate thanks to his plum draw against the Falcons, who have given up at least 330 passing yards and three passing scores in each of the past three contests. The game is also in Pittsburgh — which is a big plus for Big Ben — and the game has the highest over/under of the slate, at 57.

Mid-tier price: Matthew Stafford ($5,700) draws the Green Bay Packers in Detroit in a game with the third-highest over/under on the slate (51). The Packers held Mitchell Trubisky and Josh Allen in check, but Kirk Cousins (425-4) and Alex Smith (220-2) found success against them. Stafford is averaging over 300 yards per game this year.
