The goal of this weekly DFS tournament picks article is to identify at least one player per week who is in the winning DraftKings Milly Maker lineup at less than 15% ownership. Last week we nailed the stone-cold nuts with Odell Beckham Jr., who erupted with 154 yards and three TDs. The Cowboys and Browns shootout exemplifies the upside in targeting game stacks — when they hit, there will be multiple players who post monster scores that skyrocket you to the top of the leaderboards.
However, it was not all sunshine and roses, as we whiffed horrendously on Mike Gesicki. The process was correct in identifying Seattle’s slot weakness, but the targets stunningly went to Isaiah Ford instead of Gesicki.
We are onto Week 5, with a special eye on finding this week’s Browns vs. Cowboys game stack.
RB James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars (6% projected ownership)
The emergence of James Robinson from the absolute clouds as an undrafted free agent into rock-solid fantasy RB1 is easily the most surprising development of the 2020 season thus far. Robinson has a cupcake matchup this week against a Texans run defense that Dalvin Cook just annihilated to the tune of a 27-130-2 rushing line.
Check out the numbers behind Houston’s run defense this season:
- 52% run-play rate (most)
- 2.0 rushing yards before contact per attempt (second-most)
- 6 TDs (fourth)
- 21 runs of 10-plus yards (most)
Robinson has been a stud this season with 80.1 PFF grade, ranking seventh among all RBs. He is trending toward becoming a legitimate bell cow for the Jaguars with 94% of their RB rushing attempts and 56% of targets. In Week 4, Robinson had a stellar 53% route run rate with all four of Jacksonville’s RB targets. Chris Thompson was a complete non-factor, playing just 16 snaps to Robinson’s 47.
