Just like any strategy option in DFS, there are multiple ways to grab value from stacking. You can pay up for your stack and find two of the highest-scoring players in all of DFS that week. Sometimes, you can even find two of the highest scorers without paying up and instead finding value in the middle range. And of course, you can win using my favorite strategy — bargain stacks that allow you to find game-winners in the rest of your lineup.

Every week we’ll break down all of my favorite stacks overall and make the case for why you should be using them in your DFS tournament and cash games.

(These stacks are not specific to FanDuel or DraftKings unless signified in the writeup.)

Jared Goff, QB, and Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Our first stack stands out to me most from a game-theory standpoint. On paper, the Seahawks look like a tough matchup, but they’re nowhere close to the same defense they were with Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor on the field. Ownership should be low due to the Seattle name brand and also because Woods is making his return from an injury. What you’re getting here is a low ownership stack that has proven its ceiling on multiple occasions this season, as Goff and Woods have connected for some big games. You’re also getting a highly favorable individual matchup with Woods against struggling Seahawks CB Byron Maxwell. The even better news is that both Woods and Maxwell line up in their respective boundary positions on the vast majority of their snaps which means ample opportunities for Woods to create big plays.
