Target: QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
PFF Consensus Rank: QB2
Week 5 Opponent: vs. Indianapolis Colts
Jackson enters Week 5 as fantasy football’s seventh-ranked signal-caller, but he has tossed just a single touchdown in each of Baltimore’s four games and ranks 12th with 1,077 passing yards.
Jackson is, however, successfully challenging defenders downfield. He leads all quarterbacks with a 12.5-yard average depth of target thanks in large part to Baltimore’s offensive line, which is affording him a league-leading 3.09 seconds to throw the ball on average.
That extra time in the pocket should serve Jackson and the Ravens quite well in Week 5, facing an Indianapolis defense that ranks 19th in PFF pass-rush grade and 28th in coverage grade. The Colts have also surrendered a league-high 11 touchdown passes so far.
In addition to picking apart a vulnerable secondary that has ceded multiple touchdown passes in each of its first four contests, Jackson always offers elite rushing upside, which helps push his Week 5 potential nearly to the top of a deep quarterback group.
Fade: QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
PFF Consensus Rank: QB16
Week 5 Opponent: vs. New York Jets
