This is our Week 9 FanDuel tournament guide, a trip through the top strategies and players to use in the DFS tournaments this week.

In Week 8, you either stacked the Houston-Seattle game, or you didn’t win much money in tournaments. It’s not often that one game is so make-or-break, but it was a reminder that game stacking can be a fruitful strategy in GPPs.

There are a few stackable games in Week 9, but it’s not the only strategy worth thinking about this week. Below are some possible strategies for you to employ for Week 9 FanDuel GPPs.

Quarterback

Quarterbacks I like in FanDuel tournaments this week:

There aren’t a ton of quarterbacks I like in GPPs this week, but the ones I do like, I really like.

Wilson, Brees, and Prescott are all cash game viable and GPP viable as well. They’ll be a bit chalky, but they all provide safe floors and huge ceilings. All three are at home, all three are in games with shootout potential, all three have stackable wideouts, and all three are in the same price range.

Winston, Newton, and Cousins are my contrarian picks of the week. Winston faces the Saints in New Orleans in a game with the second-highest over-under of the week (50). The Saints have either given up three or zero passing touchdowns in every game this year; there hasn’t been any middle ground.

Cousins will duel Wilson in Seattle, and while that’s typically a bad spot, we did just see Deshaun Watson light up the Seahawks for over 400 yards in this same spot. Plus, Seattle might be without Earl Thomas. Cousins is a contrarian play.
