We have our first full slate to deal with since the early goings of the season, with 14 games on Sunday — nine early afternoon games, four late afternoon games, and the primetime game. That gives us a lot of FanDuel possibilities.
There will be plenty of fantasy goodness all day long, even though none of the games have extremely high over-unders (the highest over-under of the week is 49).
If you’re looking for some thoughts on how to navigate the week from a tournament perspective, you’ve come to the right place. Below are some possible strategies for you to employ for Week 13 FanDuel GPPs.

Quarterback
Quarterbacks I like in FanDuel tournaments this week:
- Tom Brady ($9,300)
- Russell Wilson ($8,200)
- Drew Brees ($8,100)
- Cam Newton ($8,100)
- Philip Rivers ($8,000)
- Jared Goff ($7,900)
- Josh McCown ($7,700)
- Marcus Mariota ($7,400)
There are plenty of different ways to go at quarterback in tournaments this week, but paying up is definitely my favorite strategy of the week.
All of the above players at $8,000-plus are playing in games with the highest over-unders of the week, with the exception of Rivers, whose Chargers are the largest favorites of the week (at two touchdowns).
The Panthers-Saints game has shootout potential, and the it’s the type of matchup we would have been all over in year’s past, had these two teams not improved their defenses so drastically this season. There’s still 70-plus total points scored upside here, and it’s a great game to attack in GPPs, starting with either Brees or Newton at quarterback.
It’s time for me to finally acknowledge McCown as a good tournament play. I’ve neglected him for most of the season, and he has proven me wrong enough times to finally warrant inclusion here. Nobody wants to play McCown, which will keep his ownership extremely low, but the matchup against the Chiefs is as good as it gets for fantasy.
