Welcome to our weekly look at FanDuel cash game strategies you can deploy. This is our dive into Week 8 in the DFS fantasy format.

Week 8 is going to be unique. After seeing just two or four teams on bye (or none) Weeks 1-7, we get a whopping six teams on bye, plus a Sunday morning game in London, which won’t be on the main slate.

This narrows our pool of players, and makes nailing each of your cash game picks even more important.

TE $7000+ $6000-$6900 $5500-$5900 $5000-$5400 $4600-$4900

The Box: The first row within each tier represents the average salary of every player in that tier. The second row represents the average projected fantasy points for every player in that tier. The third row is the average value of each player in that tier (points/salary*1000). The Box is also color coordinated within each position throughout the tiers.

Quarterbacks: Time to pay down again

The Box shows us that Tier 1 quarterbacks don’t really offer much more per-dollar value than Tier 2, Tier 3, or even Tier 4 quarterbacks, and when that’s the case, it’s usually easy to pay down at the position in cash games to save up for the skill positions.

Want to go real, real low? C.J. Beathard has scored 14.2 and 14.4 points in each of his first two games, attempting at least 36 passes in each game. He’s just $6,300 and is a viable Tier 5 cash game quarterback this week.

Josh McCown, Ben Roethlisberger, and Philip Rivers are all cheap with good to great matchups. You can make a case for almost any quarterback in the $7,000 price range, actually.
