Playoff time! We’re into the Wild Card weekend of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week.
Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them.
Bargain plays are the lifeblood of any DFS team. This is especially true now that we’ve entered the NFL playoffs portion of the DFS season. Bargains are much harder to come by now and finding the right one could be the difference in winning and losing this Wild Card weekend.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Because of his rushing ability, Jackson’s floor stats makes him a bargain play on any slate and that’s especially true with only four games this weekend. This from Tyler Loechner’s stats to know piece tells you all you need to know about why — Jackson has the sixth-most rushing yards among all NFL players since taking over as the starting quarterback. We’ve teed him up in our bargains column every week since he took over, and while the breakout game didn’t come until Week 17, the bust hasn’t come at all. In this matchup, two weeks ago, Jackson had a season-high in passing yards.
Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Prescott and the Cowboys passing game opened things up in Week 17 in what they hope will be a preview for the 2018 postseason. They found success with Prescott throwing on the move and utilizing slot receiver Cole Beasley and tight end Blake Jarwin. Prescott remains one of the cheapest quarterbacks on this week’s slate. While the Seahawks defense performed better than expected what was expected to be a rebuilding year on that side of the ball, they still haven’t found a way to replace their pass rush entirely — it ranks No. 23 overall. With time in the pocket, Prescott should be able to take advantage of the Amari Cooper vs. Shaquill Griffin matchup — the best individual WR matchup on the slate.
