We’re into Week 5 of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week. With fewer injuries projecting guaranteed volume for backups, it is harder than in recent weeks to find glaring free spots, but our goal is to find the best possible values per dollar that we can.

This week is loaded with quarterback and wide receiver plays, but we’ll all have to dig a little deeper for bargains at running back and tight end.

Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.

High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the write up, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions

The Stafford/Jim Bob Cooter connection is rolling again with a heavy dosage of 11 personnel (three wide receivers) that can really put stress on a young and still untested Packers secondary. Stafford has averaged just over 300 passing yards and just over 2 touchdowns per game in his last three.

Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson will be a contrarian play that you can also use in tournaments because his well-documented historical struggles against the Rams will keep ownership down. However, the addition of his most-trusted target Doug Baldwin in his second week back will be major boost, and let’s face it, he doesn’t have to do much to return value on his price point given his rushing yards upside. He is among the cheapest QBs on the DK slate.
