We’re into Week 17 of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week.
Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the write up, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words, feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
Week 17 is always a weird week for DFS purposes with so many teams resting starters in preparation for the playoffs. We’ll help you navigate the best bargains on a wonky slate.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
As long as the DFS sites continue to leave Jackson as a bargain buy, we will continue to get exposure in cash games due to his incredibly high floor. Jackson managed a 15-plus-point game on the road against a tough Chargers defense with a season-low 39 rushing yards. We expect him to regress back to the mean from a rushing standpoint after racking up 427 rushing yards and two touchdowns in his previous five starts. At home, in a must-win game, after throwing for the most passing yards of his career in Week 16, he’s our favorite value play.
Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
Manning is one of the cheapest starting quarterbacks on the slate, and despite the fact that he has consistently racked up passing yards, his 19 touchdowns through 15 games is the reason why. However, this week provides an interesting spot for him as a cash game play due to the fact that his opponent will not be playing for anything. Meanwhile, the Giants have made it clear they believe in the value of finishing the regular season with a win (to hopefully carry over momentum) and that means all starters will play.
