We’re into Week 14 of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week.
Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the write up, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words, feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
Nick Foles, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
It’s that time of the year where the DFS slate is impacted by injuries, and with Eagles starting quarterback Carson Wentz unexpectedly ruled (likely) out midweek, that leaves Foles as a screaming bargain on both DK and FD at his price tag. Foles benefits from having experience and success in this offensive scheme, and in the NFL, unlike rookies on other teams who have been thrust into a similar situation. He also benefits from matching up against a pass defense that has allowed the 14th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. If you want more, the passing game volume should be there for Foles as the Eagles are underdogs by nearly double digits.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Jackson has become a mainstay in this column since he emerged on the scene because of his floor, which is tied to the “free points” he delivers every week on the ground. Jackson has rushed for 332 yards and two touchdowns in four games since taking over as the starter. He’s a potential week-winning pick on this slate against a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks with the No. 32 run defense.
