We’re into Week 14 of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week.
Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the write up, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words, feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On a Week 14 slate that is slim pickings when it comes to value at the quarterback position, Winston stands out as a near must-play at his bargain-basement price on both DK and FD. Matchup-wise, the Saints allow the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and fourth-most to opposing quarterbacks. Their secondary remains a weak link. More importantly, gamescript should keep Winston and the Tampa Bay offense throwing early and often to catch up.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Even in a game where Jackson missed time in the second half with a concussion scare and dropped points for a fumble lost, he nearly eclipsed the 20-point fantasy mark. That’s the beauty of a Konami quarterback (coined by Rich Hribar) who gets you 75 yards and a touchdown on the ground. That’s why Jackson will continue to make this column with his price tag on DK and FD staying relatively cheap. He draws a Chiefs defense this week who has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and the second-most to opposing running backs.
