We’re into Week 12 of the 2018 NFL season, and now it’s time to identify our top fantasy football bargains for DFS players this week.
Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the write up, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winston has put up high-end QB1 numbers over the last five quarters and a half for a Buccaneers offense that needs him to, given the current state of their defense. This week, Winston once again finds himself priced in the deep QB2 range on both sites despite his matchup against a Panthers pass defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and ranks No. 25 in pass coverage.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Cousins barely cracks the QB1 range from a price standpoint despite a favorable matchup against a Patriots pass defense that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and ranks No. 24 in pass rush overall. Cousins is a different quarterback against pressure, and if the Patriots’ pass rush continues to struggle, this is a great spot for the Vikings starter.
