Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
(Unless otherwise specified, these suggests are for FanDuel and DraftKings.)
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Revenge narrative aside, as Fitzpatrick returns to play the team that moved on from him, this is an excellent spot for those DFS-lineup builders who like to spend the minimum at QB and build out from there. The Jets defense is improved in 2017, but they are still susceptible to the big play, and Fitzpatrick’s gunslinger mentality is a nice fit for Dirk Koetter’s vertically-attacking offensive scheme. Fitzpatrick is priced near the minimum on both DK and FD.
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roethlisberger is usually someone to avoid on the road, but playing inside the Colts dome against a defense that just lost their best three players in recent weeks (Vontae Davis, Henry Anderson, Malik Hooker) is a dream matchup where Roethlisberger can buck the trend. The Colts grade No. 31 in our pass coverage overall they have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Roethlisberger is just the seventh-most-expensive QB on DK and the 12th-most-expensive QB on FD.
