The 2017 college football season is approaching and it is hard to keep track of every player on every team. That’s what we at Pro Football Focus do for you. Not only do we monitor every play and every player, but we highlight the ones you should have on your radar. This series is designed to focus on such players from each team across the college landscape for both devy players and those who participate in college football fantasy leagues.

Pac-12 North
California
Devy: Demetris Robertson, WR – The Golden Bears lost their quarterback, running back, and top wide receiver to the NFL. Robertson is a top-flight athlete who blew by defenders to lead the team in yards per catch (15.3). He still has work to do as a technician, but he was just a freshman in 2016 so there is time to learn.
Fantasy: Tre Watson, RB – With Khalfani Muhammad gone, the backfield belongs to Watson. He was rated 35th by PFF among running backs in 2016 and that was in a committee. Watson could see over 200 carries with 40 receptions, enough to make him a target in college fantasy drafts.
Oregon
Devy: Royce Freeman, RB – Most expected him to leave for the NFL. Good thing for us, he stayed. Freeman tied for 16th in yards after contact per attempt and was 22nd in elusiveness rating. He is a big back (5-foot-11, 230 pounds) who mixes power and decisiveness well and should be a good runner in the NFL.
Fantasy: Royce Freeman, RB – If not for an injury, Freeman would have surpassed 1000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns for the third straight year in 2016. Expect another Heisman-contending season from Freeman, albeit with limited PPR upside.
