Week 6 of the 2020 NFL Season is fast approaching, and we’re once again tasked with selecting our fantasy football and DFS lineups. One of the more important positions on those rosters is wide receiver. Unfortunately for wideouts, they rely on quarterbacks and matchups to produce, which is why we’ll evaluate and identify the best and worst matchups for the upcoming slate of games.
Listed below are five of the best matchups to target and five of the worst matchups you’ll want to avoid at the wide receiver position for Week 6.
5 WR/CB Matchups to Target
Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton vs. Cincinnati Bengals CB LeShaun Sims
This season has most certainly not gone the way Hilton envisioned, as he only has 19 receptions for 231 scoreless yards on the season. Still, his Week 6 matchup is worth targeting. Sims — his expected primary coverage defender — has allowed 0.52 fantasy points per route this season. That figure ranks dead last among all cornerbacks on PFF’s WR and CB matchup chart.
Sims has allowed 187 yards and two touchdowns into his coverage. While Hilton’s 42.1 fantasy point total (ranks 57th among wide receivers) is nothing to write home about, this matchup could be exactly what the doctor ordered for the former Pro Bowl wide receiver.
