Week 10 of the 2020 NFL season is officially underway with Thursday Night Football out of the way and a full slate of games to come for our fantasy football and DFS leagues.
I’ve come away with the five wide receiver and cornerback matchups to target and avoid after analyzing usage rates, coverage patterns and success — or lack thereof — in certain alignments.
5 WR/CB Matchups to Target
Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp vs. Seattle Seahawks CB D.J. Reed Jr.
Not only is Kupp coming off a game in which he was targeted a whopping 19 times, but he now gets the luxury of opposing a truly horrendous Seahawks secondary, which has allowed by far the most receiving yards, as well as over 300 yards more to receivers aligned in the slot (ranks 32nd) compared to the 31st-ranked defense.
Defenses who have allowed the most receiving yards to slot WR's (@PFF):
32. Seattle Seahawks – 977
31. Cleveland Browns – 694Cooper Kupp 📈📈

It almost feels like a foregone conclusion that Kupp will feast in Week 10, particularly against a player like Reed, who is tied for having allowed the seventh-highest completion percentage (85.7%) among all cornerbacks with 10-plus targets on the season.
