While the league is currently battling a number of positive COVID-19 cases, there luckily weren’t many injuries to skill players this past week. This week’s players to add are a combination of players coming back from injury recently as well as players replacing those on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. We’ve reached the point where there are only a few weeks left in the fantasy season, so the players to cut include players who don’t have the right matchups to make it worth starting them at any point in the next four weeks.
Like last week, the players to buy low and sell high will focus on players from a dynasty perspective, taking into account what roster changes could occur between now and next September. All references to cap hits, salary cap space and potential unrestricted free agents come courtesy of the data available at Over The Cap.
If you are still able to trade in a re-draft, the Week 9 edition of this piece focused on players with good and bad fantasy playoff matchups.
FIVE PLAYERS TO ADD
1. RB Benny Snell Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers
James Conner landed on the Covid-19 list on Saturday. Conner is at a higher risk because he’s a cancer survivor, so there is a chance he could miss a few weeks.
Snell is the player most likely to lead the Steelers' backs in fantasy points while Conner is gone. He ranks second among the team's backs in carries this year and typically sees about twice as much playing time as rookie Anthony McFarland Jr. Jaylen Samuels will be the receiving back when he’s healthy, although the Steelers also use a lot of 01 personnel, which doesn’t include a running back. The Steelers have a favorable schedule the rest of the way, so Snell has RB2 value for as long as Conner is out.
2. RB Ito Smith, Atlanta Falcons
