- Blanding posted a 17.4 in Combined Tackling Efficiency in 2016, which ranked No. 1 among all draft-eligible safeties with at least 400 snaps against the run.
- While he is not a feared hitter in the ACC, Blanding only missed 5.6 percent of his tackle attempts last season, ranking No. 4 among all draft-eligible safeties.
