- University of Notre Dame offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey looks to continue building on his impressive 2016 campaign that has garnered a PFF Day 1 projection for the 2018 NFL Draft as one of the nation’s best tackle prospects.
- A preseason third-team All-American in 2017, McGlinchey enters the season as the No. 9 graded, returning offensive tackle in the nation, with a grade of 81.6 specializing in run blocking. His 82.4 run blocking grade is the highest of all returning draft eligible tackles.
- Although McGlinchey can improve on his pass blocking, he did perform well when facing a defender’s bullrush. Giving up just one bullrush pressure on 439 pass blocking snaps, which was 16th in the draft class.
- After deciding to return to school for his senior season, McGlinchey will look to improve on the amount of penalties he takes. His 12 penalties in 2016 were sixth most in the nation.
