- Ole Miss ED Marquis Haynes built his reputation last season as a great pass-rusher using his speed to beat offensive tackles to the outside as he picked up an outside pressure once every 12.1 snaps, sixth best in the draft class.
- His 39 total pressures in 2016 were the second-most of any edge defender in the SEC. Haynes produced those pressures on 230 pass-rush snaps for a pass-rush productivity of 13.6 which ranks sixth in the draft class (PRP measures pressure created on a per snap basis with weighting towards sacks).
- Haynes needs to be more consistent next season, last season 19 of his 39 total pressures came in two games while over the final two of the season he had just one total pressure and no run stops.
- He must take a big step in run defense after three years of poor grading. Haynes run defense grade of 39.9 in 2016 was the seventh-lowest among 355 qualifying edge defenders.
