- Ohio State has yet another cornerback getting NFL draft consideration. Denzel Ward played 447 total snaps last year and earned a 78.3 overall grade. He’s currently a projected Day 2 Selection on the PFF Big Board.
- Known for his speed, Ward only allowed a 26.8 passer rating on deep targets last season (20-plus yards), 11th-best in the country in that regard.
- Ward is on the shorter side for a cornerback (5-foot-10), but showed off his ball skills last year deflecting seven passes on 43 targets.
- Ward also only allowed a 55.4 passer rating into his coverage on the season. That mark ranked fourth-lowest among returning B1G cornerbacks.
