As I do every week, I’ve projected players’ Week 3 fantasy points using some of my prediction models—which I have written about in the past. Besides using just players’ stats from prior weeks, I’ve also accounted for injuries and matchups in these projections. Injuries alone are creating many great bargains this week, and they include: Devonta Freeman, Bilal Powell, and Coby Fleener.
Excluded from this article are most of the well-known fantasy studs and superstars. Frankly, with a few exceptions, I don’t think it’s necessary to write about them. Some of those excluded stars with good values this week include: Le’Veon Bell (FanDuel), Marshawn Lynch (FanDuel), Adrian Peterson (FanDuel), Antonio Brown (FanDuel), Julio Jones (FanDuel), Allen Robinson (DraftKings), Julian Edelamn (DraftKings, FanDuel), Travis Kelce (DraftKings, FanDuel), and Tom Brady (FanDuel). In fact, almost every single GPP roster I have this week includes Julian Edelman. He is a must-own guy.
Now, lets dive into some of my most valuable players for Week 3. I’ve included many of the players’ projected floor and ceiling scores. These were calculated using my prediction models. Because I used a high C.I., the ranges are large. They give us clear indication of who has good GPP potential (high ceiling) and who should be used primarily in cash games (high floor).
Quarterbacks
Russell Wilson (GPP) vs Chicago Bears
The Seahawks are set to have a huge week. The Bears lead the league in points allowed (79) this season, and Jimmy Clausen will be under center this week, as Jay Cutler is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Playing against the Seahawks defense in Seattle—with the return of Kam Chancellor—the Bears offense will certainly have a low time of possession.
