Another week, another winning weekday slate. Stringing together winning weeks always makes betting more fun, but we can’t get ahead of ourselves. There is still plenty of season left to lose our lunch if we aren’t careful. Sticking to the process and getting in on lines as early as possible will continue to lead us to success.
A weekly reminder that my picks for these weekday games are based on my own model's projections, which is currently sitting at a 53.4% against-the-spread record. In addition to my own model, I would highly suggest checking out PFF’s Greenline Tool. Not only do you get PFF’s projections for both spreads and point totals, but you also get cover probabilities, which help you find the best betting value possible. Checking PFF Greenline in conjunction with the betting articles provides you the best possible chance to have a winning week at the books.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (-3.5) VS. Appalachian State Mountaineers
Pick: Coastal Carolina -3.5
Projection: Coastal Carolina -4.6
Pick: 60
Cover Probability: 55.1%
If you haven’t watched the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers play football this season, I highly suggest tuning in this Wednesday as they take on Sun Belt foe Appalachian State. The Chanticleers rank No. 2 in the country in overall offensive grade (93.3), No. 2 in overall passing grade (92.8) and No. 18 in rushing grade (88). Superstar QB Grayson McCall ranks third in the country in passing grade (92.4) and has shown the elite dual-threat ability needed to run the Chanticleers' option offense.
Coastal Carolina has to take on an Appalachian State team that was embarrassed by Louisiana last weekend. The Mountaineers had their worst-graded performance across nearly every position last weekend. They rank 75th in the country in overall defensive grade (72.7), which is a little below average.
Coastal Carolina should have no issues taking down Appalachian State in this game. The biggest question is whether the Mountaineers can score enough points to drive this game over its 60-point total. Despite the bad performance last weekend, they still rank 27th in the country in overall offensive grade (81.3). This game should have enough firepower for the over to hit, but don’t wait until this total jumps up a couple points closer to game time.
