Monday Night Football Staff Bets: Player props, spread bets and more

Bet Broncos +4.5 at Chargers: Against a Los Angeles ‘D' that's allowed 30 points per game over the past three weeks to the likes of the Jags, Texans and Browns, Denver's offense finally has the chance to get going.

Bet Broncos RB Melvin Gordon u2.5 receptions: Mike Boone has run over 40% of the routes on offense over the past two games and appears to be the preferred passing-down back.

Denver increased Gordon's routes by 15% last week: The first without Javonte Williams, yet the veteran Gordon attracted merely a 7.5% target share.

Here are PFF staff best bets in Denver BroncosLos Angeles Chargers to conclude Week 6 on “Monday Night Football:”

Ben Brown: Broncos RB Melvin Gordon — Under 2.5 receptions (-160)

• In the first game after Javonte Williams was lost for the year, Gordon's 47.8% routes run percentage was 15% higher than his next-closest week, but it still resulted in a mere 7.5% team target share. This looks to be a situation that Mike Boone will continue to receive the lion’s share of, as he has hit over 40% of routes run the last two weeks and looks the part of the preferred passing-down back with seven targets over that timeframe.

Richard Janvrin: Denver Broncos +4.5

• The Broncos and Chargers have both not really lived up to preseason expectations. The Chargers' defense has allowed 30 points per game over the past three weeks to the likes of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Cleveland Browns. Although destitute to date this season on offense, the Broncos have a chance to get something going here finally. If they can't take advantage of this matchup, I'll officially throw my hands up at them.

PFF Greenline top pick: Broncos QB Russell Wilson — Under 19.5 completions (-102)

PFF Greenline edge of 4.4%. Wilson has gone under in only two his first five games with the Broncos, but with a career-low 59.4 completion percentage, and facing off against PFF's fifth-lowest-graded Chargers run ‘D,' without starting left tackle Garett Bolles, Denver might rely more on Gordon Monday night.

PFF staff best bets are 51-41 overall entering “Monday Night Football” in Week 6.
