The first prime-time game of the Week 14 slate came on Thursday Night Football, with Baker Mayfield’s Los Angeles Rams defeating the Las Vegas Raiders.
The other island games on the slate this week include the Los Angeles Chargers-Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football and the Arizona Cardinals-New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.
Here, we have two anytime TD props for the week's two remaining prime-time games, along with my TNF picks.
WEEK 14 MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
BET: CARDINALS QB KYLER MURRAY ANYTIME TD
Patriots pass rush creates scramble opportunity: The Patriots offense may be in disarray, but their pass rush with Josh Uche, Matthew Judon and Deatrich Wise Jr. will cause many issues for a Cardinals offensive line that ranks 13th in the league in pass-blocking grade (68.8).
Murray hasn’t been playing all that well, but he’s coming off a game with four designed runs for over 50 rushing yards and a touchdown. Look for the Patriots pass rush to get him scrambling and for the Patriots cornerbacks to play well enough that he won’t be able to rely solely on wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
BET: PATRIOTS RB RHAMONDRE STEVENSON ANYTIME TD
Only reliable offensive weapon: When it comes to the Patriots offense, it’s challenging to trust any playmaker not named Stevenson. He didn’t manage to score against the Bills, but the Patriots also had a hard time scoring in general. Against the Cardinals, he’ll face a defense that allows over 110 rushing yards per game. Stevenson has also been getting plenty of work in the passing game, seeing no less than seven targets since Week 6. He should easily see 15 touches or more here, and we’ll bank on him scoring before anyone else on the team.
WEEK 14 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
BET: DOLPHINS WR TYREEK HILL ANYTIME TD
Hill continues To dominate: Hill is coming off a 146-yard game in which he caught nine passes and a touchdown. The total in the Dolphins/Chargers game is north of 50 points, and Hill takes on a Chargers secondary that doesn't have a single player with a coverage grade above 65.4. Asante Samuel Jr. and Bryce Callahan have given up a combined nine touchdowns and will not be able to contain Hill.
Bet up to -105
BET: CHARGERS WR KEENAN ALLEN ANYTIME TD
Herbert’s Top Guy: Allen will be playing in his fourth straight game after returning from injury. Since coming back, he’s either gone for 94 or more yards or scored a touchdown. He has played primarily out of the slot (135 snaps) but also plays out wide (85 snaps). The Dolphins' best cornerback is Kader Kohou (74.4 coverage grade), but Keion Crossen (53.2 coverage grade) and Xavien Howard (56.9 coverage grade) have both struggled mightily this season, and they’ll need to handle wideout Mike Williams now, too, as he comes back from injury.
Bet up to +110
WEEK 14 THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
BET: RAIDERS WR DAVANTE ADAMS ANYTIME TD
Bad Price, But Easy Bet: No, the odds here aren’t exactly great value. However, Adams has a near 30% target share over the Raiders' last three games (32 targets on 107 Carr targets). Adams has also scored seven touchdowns since Week 9.
Bet up to -155
BET: RAMS TE TYLER HIGBEE ANYTIME TD
Wolford’s Top Guy: Across John Wolford’s two starts this season, Higbee has 13 targets and 10 receptions. While he didn’t score in either of those games, taking a chance on the top target of a team that’s a six-point home underdog with a +285 price seems like the best value for a passing score.
