NFL Week 5 Monday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Bets: Chiefs' Travis Kelce, Raiders' Davante Adams, more

Bet Raiders WR Davante Adams anytime TD (+115): With Vegas likely playing from behind, clear No. 1 receiver best scoring bet.

• Adams' three touchdowns, 43 targets and 179 pass-down snaps all pace Raiders; Chiefs allowing fewest rush yards per game.

• New users who bet $10 or more at BetMGM will receive a free year’s subscription to PFF+ — a $79.99 value.

As we cap off Week 5 of the NFL season, we can only hope it’ll go better than the first two primetime games of the week, which included two combined touchdowns — both scored Sunday night, when Justin Tucker led the Baltimnore Ravens past the rival Cincinnati Bengals in Baltimore's first home win

For “Monday Night Football,” we have an AFC West showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Let’s explore the most likely candidates to score in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs(-7.5, 52) @ Las Vegas Raiders

Bet Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (-115 PointsBet)

Death, Taxes, Kelce Scoring: The Chiefs have 11 receiving touchdowns this year — and tight end Travis Kelce was on the receiving end of three. Kelce has scored in 3-4 games this season. He’s scored in back-to-back weeks against the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively, hailing in 13 of his 18 total targets. This week, our fantasy football TE matchup tool profiles Kelce going up against Raiders tight end Denzel Perryman, who came back from injury in Week 4. He’s only been targeted three times this year, but he’s given up a catch on each. Of course, Kelce is matchup-proof and a great candidate to score every week. With other books as high as -170, lock in this price fast.

Bet Raiders WR Davante Adams (+115 DraftKings)

The Best and No. 1 Option: When looking at this game, it’s hard to pinpoint which players can score a touchdown for the Raiders outside of Adams. He’s seen 43 targets on 179 passing-down snaps and has three touchdowns — all three stat categories lead the team. We could talk about the matchup, but the Raiders are a touchdown road underdog, and this indicates they’ll be scoring from behind. In that case, there's no one else to look toward confidently other than Adams, especially at +115. The Chiefs allow the fewest rushing yards per game, so running back Josh Jacobs isn’t a “safe bet” — it's Adams.

Bet Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (+260 PointsBet)

MVS finally scores: Our player prop tool shows plenty of value on Mahomes to surpass 2.5 passing touchdowns. Thus, we have to look beyond Kelce. The next best candidate, at +260, is the artist also known as MVS. Valdes-Scantling's average depth of target (aDOT) is 11.3 yards this season, when he trails only Kelce on the Chiefs in targets, passing down-snaps and routes run on those snaps. He’ll line up across from Raiders cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, who's been susceptible to the deep ball and giving up big plays. Ya-Sin has allowed six catches on 13 targets, and the yards per catch is 15.2. At +260, we’ll roll the dice that MVS beats Ya-Sin deep for his first touchdown of the season.
