Our futures took a little bit of a hit in Week 8 with the Baltimore Ravens losing at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Tennessee Titans falling to the lowly Cincinnati Bengals, and the Philadelphia Eagles continuing to win despite playing poorly. We are sitting on some nice value, though, with this portfolio still +EV despite the past few weeks.

Our Week 8 futures bet

Miami Dolphins +184 to make the playoffs

We currently make this +150. I am fully aware of how poorly Tua Tagovailoa played against the Los Angeles Rams and how fluky that win was. However, the Dolphins are at 4-3 with two divisional games against teams that very well might be tanking in the New England Patriots and New York Jets. They also have contests with other rookie quarterbacks, such as Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow, on the docket. So, look for what has been a stellar Miami defense to do enough to get the Phins to at least eight or nine wins, which could be sufficient in a seven-team playoff format in the AFC.
