GAME LINES
It’s been a roller coaster of a week leading up to Sunday Night Football for all the reasons you never want to see – injuries.
The spread opened with the 49ers as five-point home favorites, but between injuries to QB Trey Lance, TE George Kittle, CB Jason Verrett and others, sportsbooks have given a point back to the Colts, who are coming off a dominant 31-3 shellacking of the Houston Texans.
Even after gaining the extra point, PFF Greenline still sees value in betting on the Colts — both via the +4 and the underdog moneyline.
The two matchups in this game that favor the Colts and will play a massive role in Indianapolis covering the four-point underdog spread are their defensive line versus the 49ers offensive line, which will likely be without Trent Williams, and their emerging wide receivers against San Francisco's secondary.
Williams is listed as doubtful for Sunday night’s game with an ankle injury, meaning the 49ers will likely be without their All-Pro tackle protecting Jimmy Garoppolo’s blindside, which will be a massive issue for Kyle Shanahan's offense given that Garoppolo ranks second to last among all QBs in passing grade under pressure (28.7).
