2015 Depth Charts Update: Tennessee Titans

Notes

• They had to look to the future when drafting Marcus Mariota with the second overall pick in the draft, but the former Oregon signal caller doesn't have a lot to work with at wide receiver at this point. Kendall Wright has topped 1,000 yards just once in his three year career, but is the type of receiver that should do well from the slot with Mariota. On the outside we have Harry Douglas and Justin Hunter, with Hunter failing to turn his potential into anything more through the first two seasons of his career. They drafted Dorial Green-Beckham and Tre McBride, and both will be pushing Douglas and Hunter to produce early or be pushed aside by youth.

• Andy Levitre and Chance Warmack have both shown themselves to be above average, while Taylor Lewan looked good, particularly as a run blocker, in his rookie year. The same can't be said for the other two starters, with Brian Schwenke disappointing in 11 starts in 2014. At right tackle, the loss of Michael Oher might be seen as addition by subtraction, but new starter Byron Stingily struggled in pass protection, allowing 14 total pressures in four starts to end the season.

• The signing of Brian Orakpo, and re-signing of Derek Morgan, gives the Titans a good pair of edge rushers to get after the quarterback. Playing outside linebacker for the first time in 2014, Morgan still looked good as a pass rusher, finishing the year with 49 total hurries. Orakpo arrives from Washington having played just 401 snaps, having his season cut short in Week 7. He did however grade positively both against the run and as a pass rusher, which will boost the Titans defense in 2015.

• The defensive line boasts just one player who we see as above average or better, but Jurrell Casey's ability to get after the quarterback from his 3-4 defensive end spot is impressive. His +21.2 grade in that regard was third behind only J.J. Watt and Sheldon Richardson, registering 51 total pressures from 487 pass rushing snaps, good for a Pass Rushing Productivity Rating of 8.1.
