Notes
- While we don't believe Greg Jennings to be anything more than average, something his 0.0 grade in 2014 sums up perfectly, the Dolphins definitely are in a stronger position at wide receiver than they were at this time a year ago. They've replaced Mike Wallace with a better deep threat in Kenny Stills, who arrives from New Orleans having lead the league with a Catch Rate of 64.3 on passes travelling 20 or more yards through the air. That leaves Jarvis Landry in the slot, where he looked to be developing into a very good player as a rookie last year.
- There are big question marks on the offensive line however. A healthy Branden Albert would be huge for them, as would Mike Pouncey spending the season at center and not guard, but we don't know enough about Billy Turner at left guard, and right guard Dallas Thomas really struggled in 2014. Also concerning was Ju'wuan James‘ play at offensive tackle. Though his struggles came mostly on the left, his Pass Blocking Efficiency Rating of 92.6 was the second worst at the position last year.
- The big addition here was obviously Ndamukong Suh, who immediately adds another Elite player to that defensive line. With Cameron Wake already a star on the edge, and Olivier Vernon no slouch either, that defensive line could be ready to wreak havoc on opposing offenses in 2015.
- The question marks on defense are mainly at linebacker. Koa Misi looked at home in the middle of that group last year and that shouldn't change in 2015. On one side of him, Jelani Jenkins looked good in coverage, and contributed as a pass rusher, but he did struggle a bit against the run. The other side looks to be a competition between Chris McCain, who we haven't seen enough of at this point, and Kelvin Sheppard, who had a -10.7 grade on 428 snaps in 2013.
