- The big concern for the Colts has to be on that offensive line. Anthony Castonzo has developed nicely, specifically as a pass blocker, where he finished the year as our sixth highest graded offensive tackle, but there are serious question from center to right tackle. Khaled Holmes took over as the starting center in Week 16, but finished the year with a grade of -13.0 on just 353 snaps including the playoffs. It's not quite as serious a situation at right guard and tackle, but neither Todd Herremans nor Gosder Cherilus impressed in 2014.
- Frank Gore might only be an average running back at this point, but that's a step up from where the Colts were a year ago. He'll be 32 when the season begins, but despite having plenty of miles on the clock he has still graded positively as a runner in each of the past two seasons. He's not a top quality back but in this offense he should still be able to add a little of the balance that was missing in the past.
- The big disappointment on the defensive line has to be last season's free agent signing Arthur Jones. After handing him a big contract at the start of free agency, Jones produced a season where he graded at -10.2 on just 371 snaps, missing a chunk of the year with an injury He was above average in his final season in Baltimore in 2013 however, and the Colts need him to regain that form in 2015.
- Both of their starters at outside linebacker are older, and it's relying on them still being able to perform as the level we've seen in the past, but adding Trent Cole has the potential to give the Colts their best pass rushing tandem since Robert Mathis had Dwight Freeney on the other side. One name to keep an eye on at edge rusher from a youth stand point however, is Jonathan Newsome. The 2014 fifth round draft pick played 531 snaps as a rookie, registering eight sacks, five hits and 16 hurries including the playoffs.
