Notes
- Like their divisional rivals in Philadelphia, the strength of this Dallas offensive line is up front. Ronald Leary projects as their worst starter, and he's perfectly solid enough to hold down the starting job. Their recent first round draft picks have all impressed, with Zach Martin joining Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith as standout former first rounders.
- Running back obviously took a big hit when DeMarco Murray joined the Eagles, and it remains a big concern heading into the season. Joseph Randle makes the most sense as the starter, given the lack of success Darren McFadden has had throughout his career, but perhaps the Cowboys are hopeful that the offensive line can keep the running game at a solid level.
- The big question on front four is when they get Greg Hardy on the field. Originally suspended for 10 games, there have been reports recently that his suspension will be significantly reduced. That would be big for the Cowboys because, from an on the field perspective, Hardy is an elite talent. Our second highest graded 4-3 defensive end in 2013, he can rush the passer with the best of them.
- The defensive backfield is a big concern however, with only Brandon Carr and Barry Church good enough to be considered average starters, to go along with the ever impressive Orlando Scandrick in the slot. Morris Claiborne has never lived up to his status as a first round draft pick, grading out at -16.5 over his first three seasons in the league.
