Your playoffs might have concluded in Week 16, but DFS never dies… or at least not until the Super Bowl is played. Today, we’re going to try to find you the single best stack to use on each of the big three daily fantasy websites.
When searching for these stacks, we factor in price, value, upside, and ownership. You don’t want to run out a stack that most of the field is playing — that’s a recipe for middling-at-best performance in large field tournaments. Our goal is to find you a stack that you can feel confident using, but also one that will allow to take a more contrarian approach to DFS tournaments.
Week 17 presents an interesting challenge because several teams have already clinched a playoff berth and/or playoff seeding. Avoid the Giants, Cowboys, Steelers and Texans. My advice is to avoid all players on all of those teams in DFS — they already clinched playoffs and seeding. Also, beware of the Cardinals, Rams, Bills, Jets, Bears, Vikings, Colts and Jaguars — they are eliminated from the playoffs and might give the rookies and younger players more playing time.
With what’s left, we’ll look to grab a stack on each site that has a lot of upside and one you can get back value with so you can spend at other positions. Let’s jump right in.
Yahoo
Blake Bortles, QB; Allen Robinson, WR (Jaguars vs. Colts)
This stack is so juicy I want you to open the Yahoo app on your phone and start a stack right now with these two players. That’s what I want from you, and after explaining why, I think you’ll understand. Let’s start with the pricing. It’s almost as if Yahoo gave up on adjusting their prices for the final week. Despite the fact that both Bortles and Robinson broke the ice in a similarly easy Week 16 matchup, and despite the fact that this matchup against the Colts is even more favorable, these two are being priced in a range that’s hard to believe.
